Closing weekend....sad, as there is still so much snow to play in!
Soaking up the warm sun and soft snow. I just love this stuff! I'm staying right here...hugging my snows.....
Mmmmmm....
The morning sun took a while to soften things...but still great for playing and rolling...
Mom and dad visited the ski patrol doggies hanging at the top of the lift. There's Chewy in the middle checkin' things out.
Maybe I can sign myself up for this job!!! That would be fantastic.
T-shirts on display....we bought some last weekend.
Nice clear days and warm temps.
Mountain with a caption cloud over it...
Oh, and the costumes and slopeside bbq's.
Dad had a nice time.
I helped dad stay warm in the eve. He's under the blanky....sitting on his jade heating pad for his back.
Costumes everywhere.
Mom and her wigs!
And, me and MY snow and ball... Ahhhhh.
I'll just stay, ok!?
Watching the morning snow sparkles.
Maybe I can convince mom and dad to make a trip to visit my snows sometime soon.
And.... wanted to say, 'Have a nice week pals!'

ReplyDeleteThose snows of youws awe so magnificent..I hope you can still visit them .

Those avalanche dogs have to work for a living... you might want to just continue being a tourist - no long hours, late nights/early mornings, and no having to locate people under tons of snow (Mom worked with a crew that got there 'too late' and vowed to never do that again...). I'm just saying... Being a snow bunny, erm, puppy, is work enough! Our season has ended, too, although there are still a few resorts open on weekends - but Mom and Dad are totally into the car racing thing now, and the skis have been 'sealed' for summer. S'okay - when they race cars, we get to go with them!

I can't believe you still have snow. I'm over myself with jealousy.
ReplyDeleteThose avalanche dogs look mighty fine up there on top of the mountain - I'm sure you would make an excellent addition to their team - but there are advantages of being the snow bunny as Fiona mentioned!
Either way....YOU STILL HAVE SNOW - I do believe that's the definition of a "Lucky Dog".
Enjoy!
-Abbey
You and me both should be Avalanche Dogs, Sierra! It sure would beat the heat of Florida, with it's thunder storms and tornado watches like this weekend!!
ReplyDeleteWe love the space in the new RV! I have lots of places to nap or chill out and not be in the way!
As always, wish I could play with you in the snow! Lick, Lick (canine kisses)
Raider
Maybe the snow will stay there all year round and you can come back and visit!!
ReplyDeleteYou, lucky dog, you! Our snow had been long gone.
ReplyDeleteWe hope your mom and dad will bring you back there soon.
Love all those costumes!

You'd be a great ski patrol dog, Sierra! And I think mom needs to become a redhead!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are definitely "one with the snow" Sierra! You look so happy hugging the "cold" and the end-ski-season BBQs look like so much fun! Did you get any BBQ treats? Love your Mom's wig and the idea of the Jade heating pack! Sounds like a lot of fun, but we can't believe the ski areas are all closing with so, so much snow! Hope you will be able to camp with all that pack!
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs xoxoxoxoxo

Oh Sierra, you'll be just as cute in the dirt!!! I like the picture of the snow covered mountain. I didn't know what those cloud formations were called until today. I learn something new daily....I hope!!
ReplyDeleteYou make such a beautiful snow hugger Sierra!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Smileys!

When I lived in CA, I had a SAR dog, but we didn't do avalanche. That's a tough tough job, lots of 'recoveries' rather than saves.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you love your snow so much Sierra because I think that you're going to be visiting it a lot in your lifetime!!!
I'm so glad that your dad can still ski. I used to telemark ski but it became too much for my back... Those heating pads are nice, though!
You have a great week too!
I could totally see you on ski patrol. You are such a snow loving doggie.
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
mango
We just love the picture of you hugging your snow, Sierra Rose! Winter will be back before you know it!

I am a firm believer in snow hugs! Sierra, you would be an awesome ski patrol doggie :)
ReplyDeleteIve never seen snow, I dont think I ever will. We get mini cyclones and stinking hot droughts though. You have a great , pretty blog Sierra Rose.
ReplyDeleteSigh. You sure made the most of it while you could! I'd sure love to roll around in some snow right NOW!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Ammy
Snow! Wow! It was 80 here in Michigan today!
ReplyDeleteCould any dog be happier? That face could melt all of the ice on that mountain ;o)
ReplyDeleteSierra, you look so beautiful and so happy in the snow.
ReplyDeleteWe so love all your pics but are now very keen for summer.
We can promise you that the snow will return Sierra - you are such a natural snow dog!
