The rains had just stopped and there was enough time for a super fast parkie stroll yesterday.
We had joined dad on a trip to the town of Los Gatos, where he used to live (before mom snagged him) to some appointments. Lots of car riding, so this was a treat.
The fall colors were all over...late day light...crisp air... We were exploring a small area of the 150 acre
Vasona County Park. We scooted around this parkie pretty quick, and with big smiles!
Below is the Oak Meadow area. Brilliant colors.
We stopped by the park train. Called the Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad.
Wootwoot!
Strolling throgh Pepper Tree Lane.
This parkie is on leash, and you'll see why.... a few pix below.
I took a silly faces break :)
Ah. The light was growing low, but we could see still see this beautiful egret.
I was good. Watching quietly and keeping very still.
Giving me the look....that was a thank you look :)
And, off we went to more parkie....stopping for a quick surprise eyed snap.
Amazing skies above.
We caught up with more egrets enjoying their parkie time in the creek closer to
Vasona Lake.
This park is home to many
Great White Egrets and herons.
Those dramatic skies following us.
Our turn around point was at the end of this bridge.
As the park festive light sculptures were just being turned on.
And, back we flew....
Catching that light and wishing we had just a few more minutes.
We'll be back. Lots more to explore.
Had to grab a stickie for my parting dash :)
We had a fantastic time here. Not so many folks out and about, beautiful autumn walk. Ah! Hope to make it back here, and also to catch up with a bloggy pal we realized is in the area...hmmmm mystery.
Have a great rest of the week friends :)
