We received something from my Camp K-9 counselors!
Mom dropped off some Guayaki Yerba Mate drinks to Camp last weekend while working the Guayaki booth at the Union St. Festival. Not for us pups......but the staff was quite excited!
And, yeah...this "Boogieman" is pretty cute....we've got some snacks ready for ya!
That was really sweet! Thanks Camp K-9, glad you enjoyed the drinks :)
This morning, out and about, we stopped by the Youth In Arts - Italian Street Painting Festival going on downtown.
That's my snooter (bottom right) getting a closer read of this sign. We understood...and took a stroll around the perimeter.
This has been quite an event in recent years. "In the streets in front of Mission San Rafael Arcangel, hundreds of madonnari (street painters) transform the streets of San Rafael (the town) into a color-splashed gallery for 60,000 visitors each year on the second weekend in June.
Using chalk as the medium and asphalt as the canvas, artists create over 200 images in various styles and sizes. This feast for the eyes is complimented by entertainment on two stages and a wide variety of Italian fare."

I did practice staying with a 'friendly stranger' for a few minutes while mom went to get a closer look!
Amazing creations blossoming.... This is a two day event. It is typically quite hot, and the weather is again predicted to be HOT this weekend. These artists will work through the days and into the night, on their incredible works.
We will try to go back for another peek later or in the morning.... But, will leave you with some pix from earlier this week.... With super pal, Golden Samantha.
We were hanging out in Sammie's backyard after a Monday afternoon at obedience class. Love these late day hang times! If you want to see what Avalon was doing while Sammie and I were chillin' nicely...check out her video on Sammie's blog!!!
Oh. Oh. would have loved to have gone with you.
ReplyDeleteIn theory Cavalier King Charles have the freedom of the City of London. (means we can go anywhere in the City of London. In reality, we can't :-)
lots of love Amie Soto Blossom x x x
Grrreat Post! We have GOT to go downtown and see the beautiful new streets! You've been to a lot of fests this month - such fun! Love your shnoz as you check out the "No Doggies" sign - wonderful picture! And so are the rest - your Mom has such a keen eye. Sierra, you look furry cool resting in the pool on this hot day - I'm thinking about the same thing! (Love your umbrella!)
ReplyDeleteHugs xoxoxo
Sammie
How dare anyone to be so bold as to exclude dogs for any type of event! Just who do they think they are! You and Sammie are looking so much alike. Momma remembers when you were just a tiny, little pupper, much like Avalon. How time flies.
ReplyDeleteHi Sierra Rose
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great day. Too bad they wouldn't let you go to the festival. People are no fun some times. Our Mommy visited your town once long ago, she had a friend that lived there.
Have a great weekend.
Tucker and Daisy
That sunny weather you're having looks quite inviting! We're just rain, rain, rain and more rain here....
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have no problem staying with a friendly stranger, I can see why you passed the test! You go, girl!
I'm sorry you didn't get to go with your Mom into the fair. Some dogs who don't know how to behave just spoil it for everyone!!
ReplyDeleteWoof! Woof! I get it. Lots of festivals here too that they don't allow dogs. There should be an exemption to the rule. LOVE the photo of you n Sammie. How sweet ! Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteYour weekend does look like a lot of fun!! I am sure the rules to attend the festival would be changed if they could have met YOU!!!
ReplyDeleteHi, Sierra rose!
ReplyDeleteSure you enjoyed being there!
I love your pool and your shade!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
Get the coals a blazing - we are on our way - not sure if we want to go in the pool, but we can do zoomies together. Too bad you couldn't go inside the art festival but we can understand why they have that rule. The drawings must really be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Love seeing you and Sammie lounging in your cot together - you girls are so sweet :) Enjoy your pool Sierra, you deserve it!

I'm so glad you blogged about the festival! I think my daughters would enjoy it, so maybe we'll try to go tomorrow (early, so we can beat some of the heat). Good to know that dogs aren't allowed--although that's actually TOO BAD!!

Oh Sierra, you look so comfy in your pool. I think I'd like to go to the art festival. I'm amazed from the little I could see.
