This is lower Sardine Lake. Just a 5 minute walk from our campsite. I am really not supposed to be in this lake....but 'opps!'. Just couldn't help myself! The historic boat house. Host of Happy Hour before the twice-eve seating dinners at Sardine Lakes Resort.
Crusin' on the Interpretive Trail behind the campground.
Always finding trail 'treasures'!
Fascinating lichen
Lower Sardine boat and stickie play :) Smiles all around.
My kayak 'riding' position. Paws up!
We had pulled over to a steep embankment on one side of the lake for a human 'tree finding' mission.... I just had to get out of the boat and PLAY! It's always more fun with a little stickie :)
Boat hoppin' for better stickie snaggling....... Whew! Got my stickie. Nice dad, let me bring stickie in the boat with us :)
Low light on the Buttes.
And, ya know....little eve hang time with mom :)
Well....that's about it for last weekend....but whew, not much time to recover before I was tagging along with mom on another adventure....here's a pic from yesterday at the Gianelli Edges, above Pinecrest Lake... You can barely make out the smoke from lightening strike fires, then deemed controlled burns and monitored....but growing and smoking...on a not-too-far off mountain area.
Woo do have khwite the stikhk hunting talent!
