Season Finale

Hello! It's been a while. Photos from this past weekend at our favorite ski area, Kirkwood. Mom and I found lots of icicles on our morning walks.
Mmmm, icicles!
Clear skies, cold temps, retreating snows.
Post-ski, hanging out, watching the sun go down.

These snow shapes were everywhere.

Sunday morning...mom and I walked through the plaza.

A mid-mountain favorite picnic spot. Great place to put your feet up for a few!

Sunday afternoon, we made a stop at beautiful, Silver Lake for a short walk.

The rock looked grand!

The lake was beautiful.

Some patches of blue waters showing under the thin ice.

You know I am always up for the biggest stickie I can find!

I wasn't ready to leave, as usual....

We made our three hour drive home.

Back to another busy week!

Have a wonderful day my friends :)

  2. Love your pics of Kirkwood - we biked into the ski area on their last day open 6 years ago (luckily, we didn't hit any snow on the roads biking through the Sierras on that bike trip)! We're leaving for Lake Tahoe next Thurs to see a couple legs of the Tour of CA bike Race.

  6. So good to see all that delightful snow - we won't have any here for a very long time. We are headed into our hot, hazy, and humid time of the yrear - time for the a/c cool vents:)

Beautiful photos, Sierra Rose, both the scenery AND you.

  7. I loved your photo of the snow shapes. That snow makes me want to go skiing with my dad (I've never set paw on snow, but it is autumn here and dad drives about four hours to ski).

  14. Cool! You guys have way more snow than we do! Snowbird is still open, but Dad has had the sickies, so Mom and Dad haven't been skiing. (But we've been going on lots of walkies, which is good, too!) We do have lots of glorious mud, though! It looks like you had a great end of season weekend!

  26. Vicariously enjoyed your last weekend in the snow at Kirkwood!!! Lucky girl, you playing in the fluffy white stuff with beautiful weather!

We're up in OR enjoying cool temps, while mom and dad are being "lighthouse hosts"! No snow but plenty of rain showers every so often!

    High 5's to you,
