Ah...as Winter passes...

A big greeting to all my pals! As usual, time has been passing too quickly... and Winter...what Winter? It's been much too dry here.
We have made just a few weekend trips to the mountains... A favorite stop on the way home, these boulders are usually covered in the fluffy white stuff...
A short hike takes us to Silver Lake. Clouds roll by teasing us with an evening dusting of snow... Most storms have NOT tracked our way this season.
I'm ok with the low snow, as it still makes for a nice roll and back scratch! Mmmmm.
We can see the contours of the lake. A beautiful quiet place to hike.
And play ball of course!
On my long line...just in case I decide to go-for-it in the icy lake!
Bouldering with mom!
Silly faces and yummy sticks!
Come back Winter...we need more snow pak to replinish our reservoirs!
Have a lovely week friends :) Hope to see you again soon.

  4. Last year was so much more fun than this year is for the snow, Sierra Rose. At least you're getting a little bit to play in!

  6. Oh, Sierra Rose - you and I are in the same situation - not enough snowpack! If you get a good storm, send it our way when you're finished with it. Looks like you made the most of the snow you've got.

Awwwwwwwwwwww - beautiful post! We wish we could have played with you in the snow; but you are right - even tho there is some snow, it's not at all like last year, when we were buried in drifts! Still... you look very happy rolling around in that white stuff with your ball! We are so jelly!
    Hugs xoxoxo

  9. I'm so glad to see you playing in the snow again, Sierra Rose!
Look at you rolling in it!
With plenty of sticks to chase, too!

I know, this has been a strange winter without too much precipitation over CA and AZ! Although we had a snow flurry here in Benson, AZ last Tuesday! It was so pretty! Just a week later and we'll be in the 70's!
    Fickle Mother Nature!
    Belly rubs to you
    Hugs to Mom,
    Kathy

  10. How beautiful! We haven't had much snow at all here. Right now, it should be snowy and really, really cold and what do we have? Dreadful stuff - sunny and 60. Dad's out golfing. In February! That's just plain crazy!
Enjoy your snow while you can! And really ... can we come over?!!?
    Play bows,

  11. I can really see how much less snow the Sierra Mountains have... Last year's photos showed you bounding through very deep snow - not this year. Maybe spring will bring the snows.

Do you know Sophie (From Sophie's View)? Is that her orange ball? Forgive me if you have no idea who I'm talking about...

  12. Hello Sierra Rose! :D

Yes, I've heard there's been a dearth of liquid (frozen or not) in your area this year. It's been really warm during our winter. Wonder what's up? Hope more snow comes your way soon! :D

    Waggin at ya,
    Roo

  13. Hi there, we haven't had much of a winter either. I can see why you'd need the long line. So, not much skiing either huh?
