Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all my pals! We rolled back up to the mountains last night just as the torchlight parade started down the front slope at Kirkwood. It was amazing and beautiful.
Then the boom boom fireworks started, and I totally freaked out! Never heard such crazy noises before! Mom and dad quickly took me to the warm lodge, and we sat quietly for a while. Whew.
These are photos from this morning....we've been playing and hiking around. A pretty thick snow is falling, quite pretty.
This fella, Bogie, kept coming over to sniff me out.
And, there was another Australian shepard that everyone here has been looking for today, as it got so scared at the fireworks last night, it ran into the meadow, and has not yet been located. But, everyone is on alert and we are hopeful.
In the meantime, I'll keep doing what I love...playing in the deep soft snow.
See you again soon pals!

  10. Luckily we didn't hear any fireworks here last night or else Phantom would have freaked out too. We sure hope that pup was located. Isn't snow just so much fun, Sierra Rose?

  22. Sierra Rose you were meant for the snow! You have never looked so beautiful :) We are very concerned for the Aussie that ran away. I hope they find him. News like that makes our hearts ache.

We are glad you got to play in all that snow. You must live pretty close to a great recreation area. We do too, but the Duchess won't take us to Mt. Hood. She is a spoiled sport! (Don't tell her I said that ok?)

    Kisses,
    Emma Rose
