Greetings from us! Back up at the snow...mom and I are hanging by the fire in the lodge after lots of ball play in some fresh snow....I'll take a nap in a bit, while mom heads out to ski...it's been snowing and fun!!! The photos are from our last trip but will put new ones on this week. We wanted to share our bungles...
Christmas Eve mom and dad went to a family Christmas gathering. I hung out in the car in my travel crate with some peanut butter bones. Before dessert, mom brought me in to say hello. Looked like a party inside and two other mellow doggies hanging out. I got so excited, as you can imagine!!! However, guess a little too excited as I was quickly put BACK in my little house with more snacks. Well....no likey!!! With my powerful paws, I snaggled my way out of the crate, and was able to eat some of dad's delicious car things....windowshield, a box, papers... How could they think I would be happy hanging out in my hut, with a party going on?! My hoomans!
Well...needless to say mom and dad did not seem too happy to see my project! Especially when this is the crate I hang out in when we go in the camper! However, so far on this trip, mom has been able to wear me out enough that I just chill (whew! says mom).
Our first morning here, I was so excited, as the day before we did a lot of car driving. Mom took me out in the snowy meadow for some fun..... I quickly found a flying bag...(it was windy) and woowee started snaggling the darn thing..... But, as mom came over to take it away (of course), I bucked my head, just as she was leaning down grabbing hold of MY bag. We collided....my head to her nose and cheek. Poor mom...thought she had broken her nose and now with blood streaming down her face, out in the middle of the meadow...tears from mom. She was ok, just a line of nicks along her cheek and I was ok, no injuries. What a start to the MORNING!
So, those were our BUNGLES....Otherwise, I've been good in my rigged crate, gotten out for lots of ball play in the snow, walkies, hanging out with mom and dad, and they have had some time on those zoomie downhill things.... So, we're all ok, having a nice time and it's SNOWING!!
Ah, teenagers! We hope mom is recovering from her collision with what I am sure is your very solid noggin! Looking forward to more pix of your fun vacation in the snow!
ReplyDeleteWell, who could BLAME you!?!? What's a party without YOU!!? Hrumph!
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I hope you're having tons and tons of fun in the snow! Isn't snow just the BEST?!?!?
Belated merry Christmas wishes!!
Love,
Ammy
hello sierra rose its dennis the vizsla dog hay oh noes!!! hed butting mama is a shoor way not to git treets i hav fownd this owt the hard way!!! ok bye
ReplyDeleteYou must learn to ski with Mom. You'd be a natural!
ReplyDeleteYou managed to get out of your crate???? Please, please don't tell my dogs your trick.
ReplyDeleteYou're lucky to spend so much time in the snow. I bet that you love it!
I once nicked a tooth in exactly the same maneuver as you did with your mom, hitting her cheek. My dentist says that it's a very common way to break teeth. I was surprised!
Hey Sierra Rose, enjoy the snow for me, too!
ReplyDeleteI love to play in it! What Golden doesn't!
Hope you all have a happy and safe trip!
Raider and Kathy
Awww..well, looks like you love the snow. Hope you have a wonderful time and a happy new year!!

Wow!! That sounds like a lot going on! But seriously, what did they think you would do while there was such a party going on? I don't think it was you, I think it was an evil snow squirrel setting you up! They've been doing that a lot lately!
ReplyDeleteGlad mom is okay...I almost busted mom's lip the other day when I moved my head while we was playing. Oops!
Oh so sorry to hear about all your trials and tribs, Sierra! It's just hard being a puppy sometimes - how's Ma's nose? We hope everything and everybody is okay by now and that MOM is having fun skiing with Dad and pals!!! Stay good, my pawsome pal! Can't wait to see the pix!
ReplyDeleteHugs xo
Sammie
Oh Sweetie! You are in big trouble now! Chewing up Dad's car is a real no no. Puppies don't like to be left out of the fun, do they? Well, it's a good thing you are so darn cute. I think you will be completely forgiven this time :) We had a wild and wacky Christmas too. I am soooooo glad it is behind us.
ReplyDeleteBe good!
Kisses,
Emma Rose

Sierra, are you being a naughty girl, eating things in the car???
ReplyDeleteSassy and I had a head on collision with each other a couple of years ago and it knocked me out-really!!! And then a sported a black eye for a couple of weeks...I guess we know who has the harder head!
Enjoy the snow!
Hugs and belly rubs,
~K
Woo - what are crates for but to practice our incredible escape skills. Our humans now have these spring loaded latch type crates - hrmph.
ReplyDeleteAnd sorry about the collision. Those happen.
We have never tasted a windowshield! We love boxes and paper though - they taste good and fun to rip.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures in the snow are beautiful - glad you are having a lovely holiday and getting worn out!
That is so important when you are a puppy and inclined to be inquisitive!
Remember humans a tired dog is a good dog.......
love and kisses

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear about your bungles. I hope mom's okay. Hey, I notice you've got a Gentle Leader harness. Do you like it? I bought one a week ago, and it did help with the pulling a lot. But I felt like it was chafing Cabana underneath the belly strap. Maybe I didn't have it fitted properly? Do you see any chafing, like the armpit area?
ReplyDeleteHope your mom is feeling well and having a great time.
ReplyDeleteHave fun in the snow Sierra!
Well we'll just call you Houdini!! Poor Mom, there's nothing like colliding with a big ole hard dog head to make you see stars! Sierra you are to much fun.

Glad your head is OK Sierra! I know all too well how much it hurts when it comes in contact with a human nose.
ReplyDelete*keep workin' on that Crate Escape project!
Chester ;0=)
Hi Sierra,
ReplyDeleteYou sound like my kind of girl. I would have wanted to get out of that crate and chew up everything in sight. The box and papers sound especially good. Don't you just love to shred paper !!!! I hope you and your mom are ok from your little accident. The snow looks so fun. I hope you had a great Christmas.
Love,
Lexi
Sierra, your poor mom! I've done head-butts with mine too but never drawn blood...hope her nose is better! You've certainly been having lots of adventures on your vacay.
ReplyDeleteThat was so sweet of you & Sammie to send Khyra those yummies :-)
Happy 2010 and don't overdo the bubbly tonight (oops, I forgot, you're underage)!
Your pal,
Sedona
