Morning hike and.....

A new hike today! This is where we turned around...I had a great view.....we are half-way up Mt. Tamalpais in Mill Valley. A chilly start to the day, and fog drifting overhead.... Looking out towards the town of Mill Valley and the SF Bay.
On our way up...steadily climbing fire road.
Views all along the way. Below looking at one of the peaks on Mt. Tamalpais.

I was pretty curious about those knobby tire bikes rolling by...a very popular area with great trails.
And, I always try to find a big stickie!
After our hike....there was a surprise! We'll tell you more about it another time, but here's a preview! I will say, I had a fantastic time and Santa's beard was tasty...
Can you spot the real doggie in the window above? And, guess who, below!? Doggie Santa?
And, guess who again!!! With a nice gathering for delicious TREATS!
Ok...here's the hint (below)...we went to a fundraiser for the Marin Humane Society (where I am taking my Family Dog classes). Will tell you more about it later...or, you might just see some fun photos from this event on another site...(wink wink)
Enjoy the rest of your weekend pals!

Indeed our mum even thought she would have to stop for a rest - you know what they are like on these uphills!
We loved the pics from the fundraiser - especially all you dogs getting treats - we hope there was lots of money raised!
    Have a nice weekend.

  15. I've hiked those same trails Sierra Rose! It's a gorgeous place. Be careful not to poke that long stick into the knobby-tired people's spokes! My young dog is always threatening to do that!

Remind me, where is Sardine Lake? I saw the photo in the sidebar. Is it up in the Sierra mountains? I think that I've been there before.
