Springing towards spring conditions

Home from the weekend. Can't believe how much snow melted in just one week! Where'd my snow go? Still a good time though. A beautiful sunset as we drove home through the Sacramento Valley this eve.
Crashed out for the ride home. Have my new seatbelt on, with lots of wiggle room.
Ah, the beautiful mountains...
The sun was out this weekend, and so were the outdoor chairs and hanging out.
Snowy ground turned back to dirt.
I found things to snaggle...of course!
Delicious branches.
And, then there's the eve bbq's with beautiful backdrop. Still CHILLY with mountain breezes.
Mom always needs a hug.
Sunday morning... some younger camper neighbors, out to give me breakfast greetings!!
Had to stop by the bbq guys on my morning walkie.
Out for a lap around the meadow with mom and dad. A bit on the crunchy snow side, but still a good time. Did a bit of "skijoring" with mom. I'm pretty FAST!
Ahhhhhhh.....thirsty.
Season's not over yet, but with the warm temps, there are definitely signs of melting...bye bye giant icicles!
Home safe again. Warm and cozy. Have a wonderful new week pals!

  15. Sorry, we are behind! You went camping? That's awesome! Looks like it was a ton of fun! And that is one huge icicle formation - hope it doesn't fall on any one as it melts!

  16. I love the photo of you sacked out in your seatbelt. So cute!!!!

I saw the La Fuma chairs out - it truly must have been springlike. We used to backcountry ski in that area into late May... but we'd have to hike high into the mountains to find the snow.

Glad that you had a fun weekend. Keep giving mom lots of hugs!

  20. Such really fantastic photos you have for today's post - simply gorgeous!!! It sounds like you had another fantastic weekend. We had snow on Saturday and it was so much fun runing and playing in it. But today the warm sun came back and 8 inches of beautiful white fluff is all gone:( But Mom says the pretty flowers and green grass and blossoming trees will be here soon.

Have a great week, Sierra Rose.

  26. Say, did you get any nom noms from the BBQ guy? Looks like he was about to throw you something to eat.
So nice that you get to go camping all the time. Over here they closed all the campsites from Nov-mid Apr. No fun!
