Mom attends a rock climbing event every September with the Americal Alpine Club, in Pinecrest. So.....back we went to Pinecrest Lake...stayed at cousin's cabin....and I made myself comfortable right away on the outdoor furniture! Why not!
Mom with some climbing buddies...and me too.....
Pinecrest Lake....beautiful as always. Mom and her climbing partner did a run around the lake Sunday morning....I had a big walkie and lake trolling with mom EARLIER in the morning..... so fortunately (for mom) I was happy to hang out in my soft crate in the car while they did the lake run.
Saturday eve (post climbing) gathering at Royal Robbins cabin....
Got me mom? I'm gettin' heavy!
Some kong time at the cabin......seemed that I was too dirty to run around INSIDE! What gives mom! I let her know that I much preferred being INSIDE at all times by my distinct BARKING...... "I'll help bake those cookies and muffins mom! No problem!!!"
But alas...still outside...with the climbing gear...and my kong....which seemed to be refilled quite frequently with some tasty stuff....thankfully!
Pinecrest Lake.....
I hung out with mom and her giant pack, while collecting waivers from climbers at this event. Here I am at the Ginalli Rock area.....I was attached to mom's heavy pack, so couldn't wander too far.
It was a great view....and a big cliff....so, my nervous nelly mom kept me on a tight rope!!
I made some fast friends at that crag...they helped mom hang on to me while mom did a few climbs......
Gotta have WATER!
Checking out climbers at the main crag.....I had prime viewing!
And, some nice little gals to keep an eye on me!
Folks hanging out.......I'm in the foreground, watching another crag doggie work on some stickies..... How can I get in on this!?!?!
My little rock island! There were about 8 doggies at this event...most were friendly...a few were not, but mom kept me out of trouble.....I am happy to play with any happy doggies....
A nice weekend....but I am MORE than glad to be home with all my toys, counter surfing...chewies....and just to be home with mom and dad.

What an AWESOME trip! Pinecrest is truly beautiful - so glad that you are being introduced to such gorgeousness at such a young age!!! Your rock island is great and the little girls who played with you sure look cute! I also loved your cabin and porch - so north woodsy! And you certainly ARE getting big, Sierra!
ReplyDeleteI loves you, Sierra and want to say sorries that I took so long to get to your new post!
Your mom won't let you be a couch potato will she? You're a lucky gal to have her!
ReplyDeleteSierra you are such a cutie. Oh, that's how I got so many dogs in our pack. Those puppy eyes and ears. Wouldn't it be great if we had time to just have a camera to capture all of their cute moments.
ReplyDeleteThanks, for the vote on the jelly question. I think rose petal jelly will be the entry. It tastes and smells kinda like a cherry flavor.
Blessings to you and Sierra
Hi Sierra,
ReplyDeleteWoooooooow!Such a wonderful place and you got great photos. You have a great time with your mommy and it's good you also got to spend time with doggie friends as well. We don't get to go to places like those because we live in the city and going on trips is not easy with all of us around so thanks for sharing your trips and adventures.

Hey Sierra,
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by our blog! It looks like you had tons of fun on your adventure. I used to go on tons of hiking and forest exploring adventures with mom where we used to live. Love the lake pictures, Sasha and Jessie would have loved to swim in it. I like to try and stay out of the water unless it is absolutely necessary for me to go in. We don't know if Rumer likes to swim yet. Do you like to swim?
Kali
Hi new friend...we think someone is spooooiilleedd!

Sierra Rose, my Duchess has a question for your Mommy. We are thinking about getting a Golden from the Golden Bond Rescue here in Oregon. Do you think a Golden would want to play with me? I am rather dominant, being a Queen and all you know. Anyway, my Duchess would like to know what your Mommy thinks!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Emma Rose

Sierra Rose,
ReplyDeleteWow, I love your blog! Thanks so much for stopping by and telling me about it! Looks like you hit the jackpot moving in with beautiful Honey's family. All the pictures of the lakes are so gorgeous - it makes me wish I were there :P

Sierra indeed had prime viewing of the adventure. I didn't realize that she's that big when I saw her solo pics. With people around, she's biiig!
ReplyDeleteI did a bit of rock climbing myself this weekend although I must admit that I was terrified! ;) Mom and Dad took me up this steep cliff and the first route was sandy and I thought the mountainside was coming down with me so I panicked but we found another route that had some rock and Dad helped push me up. SCARY! Looks like you had fun hanging out with the climbers! :)
